1. Like 好き (すき)
The web of the right hand between the thumb and index finger is pointed
toward chin with the thumb and index fingers over the jaw and the rest
of the fingers curled. The hand drops down and the finger and thumb meet
just a little ways below the chin. |

2. Dislike 嫌い (きらい)
The thumb and index fingers are pinched together and their tips are placed
near the tip of the chin. The hand drops and they quickly open just a little
ways below the chin. |

4. No いいえ
The open right hand, blade edge held toward the interlocutor, is waved
a few times back and fourth in front of the face. |

The right fist is held in front of the right shoulder and dropped to the

6. Sign Language 手話 (しゅわ)
The hands are fisted with the index fingers extended and are held in front of the chest, palms toward you. The fingers are then circled back toward you a few times. |

7. "How do you say cup in sign language?"
1. First, finger spell cup (コップ). Second, make fists with the index fingers extended and hold them in front of the chest, palms toward you. Then circle fingers toward you (making the sign for "sign language). Third, make a fist with the right hand and extend the index finger. Hold the hand to the right side of the chest with the palm facing out and wag the index finger back and forth a few times (signing "what"). Fourth, hold the open left hand fingers up and palm out in front of the left shoulder and place the index finger of the fisted right hand in the left palm and push away from the left shoulder (meaning "express"). Last, the right hand is held out, palm up to signify a question. |
