  1. GENERAL INFORMATION
    　　Kogyo High School is located in Fukuchiyama City, in the northwestern part of Kyoto Prefecture. The school was originally founded in 1963 as an industrial senior high school under the name of Isa High School. In April,1990, the school was renamed, and four old departments were replaced by five new ones. Kogyo is equipped with a variety of new machines and facilities to meet the demand of this highly industrialized country. As of September,2007, there were about 540 students.

  3. ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC INFORMATION
    　　Besides the standard classes, the following technical classes are offered in the first year: foundation of industry, foundation of information, foundation of electricity, and programming. In the Second year drawing, mathematical science in technology, machine engineering and construction, machine designing, electric technology, electronic technology, communication technology, measurement and designing, electronic circuit, and practicum are offered. And in the third year drawing, machine designing, electric technology, electronic technology, prime movers, computer application, and practicum (all three years) are offered. As a feature of this school, all the students in each course take a project study. In addition to this, extracurricular lessons are held for students to get licensed in various technical skills.

  6. FACILITIES
    　　There are two buildings with the latest technological equipment.One building is for the machine planning course and the manufacturing system course. It has an FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System), a CAD(Computer Aided Design), and a CNC lathe. The other building is for the electrical energy, electronic communication, and information processing courses. It has computer, satellite communication equipment,solar power generation, and an automatic control system.
